People seem to only associate The Twelve Thirty Club with the fact that Justin Timberlake is part owner. But that does a complete disservice to this three-part venue on Broadway—it’s a honky-tonk, supper club, and rooftop terrace—with great live music and an even better sweet cream cornbread. If you find yourself corralled into a night on Broadway, Twelve Thirty is where you want to gently steer the outing. The honky-tonk, which is on the ground floor, still brings some of the Broadway raucousness to the table, but in a less sloppy, Snooki-on-spring-break way. For dinner, though, you’ll want to call upon the services of the supper club on the second floor. It’s about as classy as you’re going to get on the strip—the sort of place you bring your old college friends and their spouses to when they visit because they’re in their 30s and not putting up with Kid Rock’s Big Ass Honky Tonk nonsense. Order a round of crisp, dirty martinis and then segue into that aforementioned cornbread and some burrata or a seafood tower for the table. By then, the live act will really kick in. People will start dancing. You’ll get some champagne for the table and maybe some mains—the lobster spaghetti and Chilean sea bass are solid options—and maybe you just join in and start dancing, too.
