The Saturday line at Dose on the West Side easily spans the length of the tiny space, folks riding their post-workout highs or wrangling small children to make already tight aisleways extra cramped. It’s not hard to figure out why it’s so slammed. The drinks are great, especially the Barcelona—a $6 draft iced coffee topped with soft, salted whipped cream, that’s so popular it has its own T-shirt. Things are a bit more tame during the week, so you can enjoy your chive and goat cheese scone in a smidge more peace. Their East side location is a bigger operation with an extended menu and table service, if that’s more your style.
