Tucci’s seems like it was airlifted from any busy street corner in New England and dropped into a South Austin strip mall between a tax office and a Gatti’s Pizza. It’s a pretty classic old-school deli, attracting families and people picking up sandwiches on their lunch break. At around $20 for a full sub, the prices feel a little steep, until your order arrives and you realize it’s big enough to stretch over a couple of meals. Try the Italian or the turkey—they’re both packed full of meat, but the turkey comes with garlic mayo and hot sweet peppers that turn an otherwise ordinary hoagie into something you’ll be daydreaming about on a random Tuesday afternoon.
