The Edinburgh Playhouse is the UK’s largest all-seated theatre, playing host to some of the biggest names in live music, stand-up comedy and musical theatre. The venue was originally opened in 1929 as Scotland’s second largest cinema. When it closed in 1973, it was resurrected by ‘save the Playhouse’ campaigners and restored into a fully functional theatre. The Edinburgh Playhouse is owned by ATG Entertainment.
