At this Italian spot in Cow Hollow by the Il Casaro people, you’ll eat off plates decorated with roosters, drink out of head-shaped goblets that look straight out of White Lotus, and generally have a pleasant time over great Neapolitan pizzas. Aside from the wood-fired pies with chewy crusts and globs of sweet mozzarella, pay attention to their section of housemade pastas—they’re served in generous portions and flawlessly al dente. We especially like the bigoli arrabbiata, a saucy dish that’s punched up with calabrian chilis. Stick to the pastas and pizzas (the appetizers, like saffron arancini and grilled asparagus, are just fine)—and resist the urge to redecorate your entire kitchen with rooster plates—and you’ll be on the path to success.
