But don’t be deterred by any long lines at the two-story cafe in Pacific Heights—things move quickly, even if it’s a bit chaotic at peak times. Espresso drinks and pastries by their umbrella bakery Jane have sweet breakfast-lovers’ names stamped on them, and more filling breakfast staples like avocado toast, scrambled egg sandwiches, and smoothie bowls round out the menu. Our favorite thing is the coffee cake, which is soft and cinnamon-laden and doesn't devolve into a crumbly puddle by the end.
