Some Key West restaurants lean on their view to do the heavy lifting. But the food at Four Marlins makes an honest effort to compete with the oceanfront patio. You can justifiably come here only for their key lime pie, which is the island’s very best. But you should consider Four Marlins for a nice dinner, especially if you can find an earlier reservation that coincides with the sunset, when you can truly appreciate the ocean view from the patio. Some of the seafood appetizers, like the lobster tostada, desperately need a lemon squeeze. But they know how to sear a piece of fish to buttery perfection, so ask about the daily catch.
