Along with Emma Chamberlain’s Chamberlain Coffee and the Kardashian-owned Good American store, here’s another celeb-owned spot to add to your Century City mall bingo card. After years of selling their spice rubs online and at Walmart, Anthony Anderson and Cedric The Entertainer’s barbecue brand now has a stand inside the food court. The good news is the smoked meats—with an assist by the chef from the former Slab BBQ —are better than what you’d expect from a place stuck between Shake Shack and Chipotle. The seasonings are on point, as they should be from a company built on rubs, and the ribs are tender enough to pull apart with a flimsy food court plastic fork. Go easy with their signature barbecue sauce, though. It’s handy reviving the slightly drier cuts like the pulled pork, but also so sweet that it’ll drown out the smokiness if you’re not careful.
