When you’re in or near Chinatown and need a free table (or maybe just want to listen to some Turkish pop while inhaling a plate of manti), look for Kapari. This casual Turkish restaurant has never let us down when we needed a last-minute friend catch-up or laid-back date night spot. We especially like the pudgy manti piled onto a thick layer of garlicky yogurt, and the somehow-not-greasy roasted eggplant stuffed with a rich ground beef and tomato filling. End with two pieces of pistachio baklava, and consider grabbing a couple more to go.
