The Frist Art Museum, formerly known as the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, is an art exhibition hall in Nashville, Tennessee, housed in the city's historic U.S. Post Office building, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

There was only one major exhibit open on the day I visited (quilts), but it was really good. The bonus was that it was a free day (yay) and it was quiet.
We saw two exhibits here, one of African art and one of Paul McCartney's photography. Just as great was the building. It was an Art Deco Post Office converted to a museum. Fabulous inside if you like
What a beautiful repurpose of a former Post Office into a gorgeous art-deco art museum !! MUST SEE just for the architecture. We were there when there was a quilt exhibit and the quilts were amazing..
