Santa Casa de Misericordia Hospital is a major hospital based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. It's considered one of the references in Latin America for transplants and genetic research. Opened in 1884, it is a university hospital linked to the Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre. Since 1963, it has served as the headquarters of the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Santa Casa de São Paulo.
