Motorino has been pumping out reliable Neapolitan pies to hungry guests at their second location on 12th Street since 2009. It’s not the best Neapolitan pizza you’ll find in New York, but it more than scratches the itch if you need a pie with a puffy crust and springy tomatoes. We just wish their dough was rolled out a bit thinner so we could spend more time enjoying their acidic tomato sauce. There’s never a wait, and they have lots of wine priced around $40 per bottle, so keep this spot in the back of your mind whenever you need a lowkey dinner with a friend or two. Or if you’d rather enjoy your pie at home, order two pizzas for delivery or takeout over the phone, and you’ll get a third for free. That slightly thicker crust holds up well during the amount of time it takes to get it back to your house.
