Established in 1934, Montsalvat has fostered a deeply connected creative community and provided thousands of painters, sculptors, musicians, writers, philosophers, poets and other makers with the time, space and support to further their creative practice.

We had a pleasant 1,5-hour visit to this place. It reminded me both of being in the country and being in Europe. I loved the architecture,with its glazed windows, stone arches, spires and complex roof
I was looking for something new to do in Melbourne and came across this gem. It's in the suburbs of Melbourne, so you will need to either catch public transport or drive out. There is an admission fee
This is a village imitating the style of medieval Europe—complete with a chapel, flower gardens, craft workshops, a swimming pool, cafés, and more. It's quite delightful.
