Thomas Heyward Academy is a private school located in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The school is named after Thomas Heyward, Jr. (1746-1809), a signer of the Declaration of Independence. The school was founded in 1970 as segregation academy. It offers Pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade. The school is a member of the South Carolina Association of Independent Schools (SCISA).
