The National Archaeological Museum is a museum located right on Piazza San Marco in Venice. The National Archaeological Museum was established in 1523 by Cardinal Domenico Grimani. This Museum has a great collection of Greek and Roman sculptures, ceramics, coins and stones dating as far as back the 1st Century B.C. Some of the archeological collections from the Correr Museum are also housed here.

Part of the standard ticket when you purchase the ticket to the Doge’s palace. Hard to see where one museum ends and another begins, but it’s worth going. Lots of remains and interesting descriptions.
Located in the same building as the Musee Correr, on San Marco square. Worth the visit if you are going to the Correr. Most of the interesting work is Roman copies of Greek originals.
