If you live in Gowanus, there’s a decent chance that Halyards is your Cheers. It’s really just a nice, normal bar with some dart boards and a pool table, although it gets pretty crowded on weekends, and it’s easy to make new friends here. Some nights, there’s a DJ - although nothing too crazy happens. Mostly, people just stand around in in one of the various small rooms and talk to each other. So if you’re in the area, and you want some company, stop by and grab a beer.
