Still enjoying the casual atmosphere at Charleys, with to-go, delivery, and catering. In 1975, Charlie Sands launched a chain of restaurants in Virginia and North Carolina, starting with the first location in Charlottesville, VA. The second opened in Lynchburg, VA, in 1980. MJ met Rob while working at Charley's, and the two eventually took over. Catering started in 2001, offering classic Charley's food and exciting new options.
