La Perla Escondida is one of many Guatemalan restaurants you’ll encounter in Lake Worth. The space isn’t well-lit, which is a shame because you can barely see the beautiful hand-painted landscapes on the walls. As for the food, it’s all varying degrees of OK. Their churrasco is a bit dry, but it gets better when you mix it with the side of rice and beans. As for appetizers, the tamal de elote is too dense—but they do know how to make a good pupusa revuelta. It’s big enough to calm a growling stomach.
