This polished Greenpoint spot is essentially the opposite of a dive, with stylish dark wood accents, comfy barstools with backs, and even a mini jumbotron made up of four TVs overhead, ensuring you’ll have a great view of the game from any vantage point. But the best thing about Rounders is the covered patio out back, with a massive screen of its own. Like that time Rob Lowe wore a generic “NFL” hat on the sidelines at an NFC Championship Game, Rounders is careful not to tip its hand as a stronghold for any particular team’s fandom. You will, however, find an NBA Jam machine here, as well as a menu of fancified bar food—like crunchy, pesto-striped pepperoni pizza wontons, or a wonderfully moist and garlicky chicken milanese sandwich—that should please everyone, regardless of how little interest they might have in the game you’ve brought them here to watch.
