We had tickets today to travel on the gondola. There was a free car park. Although there was a cruise ship in the port we didn’t take too long in the queue to ride the gondola which took 10 minutes t.

Friendly staff, great view after nice walk up. Unpleasantly noisy when busy. Would be avoided with some acoustic panels on the ceiling.
