About
Kilmainham Gaol is a former prison in Kilmainham, Dublin. It is now a museum run by the Office of Public Works, an agency of the Government of Ireland. Many Irish revolutionaries, including the leaders of the 1916 Easter Rising, were imprisoned and executed in the prison by the orders of the UK Government.

Very good tour conducted from Jim. Extremely knowledgeable and made our visit even better. It was an eye opening experience and would recommend to any visiting people.
Had a tour here on Monday taken by Mark. Very interesting, informative tour. Really enjoyed it. Had a look around the nice museum onsite afterwards too. A must do if you like old prisons.
