This Pacific Heights restaurant is a great stop for a casual weeknight dinner when you’ve got seafood on the mind. Most people go to Woodhouse for the lobster roll—it’s creamy and generously stuffed—but the sleeper hit is their clam chowder. Each bowl is loaded with soft potatoes and buttery, bouncy clam chunks. The soup is rich and savory and what all bivalve-obsessed people deserve. In between spoonfuls, admire the dining room’s mounted marlin and model boats that make this place feel like it’s trying to be SF’s first Red Lobster location.
