The food at Barbara’s is genuinely worth all of the tourists you see on the water awkwardly attempting to steer their rented sailboats. The waterfront spot has been around since 1978, and feels like an old-school seaside diner. Everyone eats fried calamari, shatteringly crisp fish and chips, and New England-style clam chowder loaded with fresh clams that gets its signature creaminess from potatoes rather than dairy.
