The clubhouse was built as a private hunting retreat on the grounds of the Lighthouse Club between 1922 and 1925. It consists of a three-story, five bay, central block flanked by lower blocks with screened in porches. All three blocks are capped by steep gable roofs with dormers. During World War II, the property was leased by the United States Coast Guard.
