There’s strange, and then there’s Baked Potato strange. This legendary one-room jazz club in Studio City is not really a restaurant, but it is one of the most objectively delightful and personality-altering nights you can have in LA. Shows here are grungy, all-ages affairs full of couples on dates, dudes in Kangol hats who’ve been coming since the 70s, and Gen Z teens getting their minds blown by musical improvisation. So why is it called The Baked Potato? The menu, of course, which is composed entirely of baked potatoes. There are 24 total varieties, and you should order one, even if it’s just to take a picture of how big it is.
