LB fuses the steakhouse classics—tartare, the iceberg wedge, perfectly grilled steaks and burgers—with California sensibility. Expect perfectly marbled, pleasantly funky 35-day aged ribeye, beautifully seared tomahawk steaks, and well-executed seafood, like a flavorful grilled lobster tail with tangy lemon drawn butter. The sides are stars in their own right, especially the ultra-rich sharp cheddar mac and cheese. If you can sneak out of work between 3 and 6pm, the happy hour menu’s 3/4-pound ridiculously juicy wagyu burger is just $12––$13, if you add cheese or bacon. Happy hour drink deals are great, too, with $5 beers, $10 house wine, and $10 cocktails, so keep this spot in mind when you want an upscale lounge experience at dive bar prices.
