There’s a towering skeleton standing next to Rockaway Tiki Bar’s front door, which doesn’t necessarily scream tiki bar. But that’s what we love about Rockaway Tiki Bar—it’s a little bit wacky. There’s a menu of tiki drinks, and hanging lights in the shape of pufferfish, plus a robust sushi section of the menu, and if you’re anti-fish, how about a Hawaiian slider? It’s a great post-beach move, because you can snag a seat at the bar and cool off with a mai tai next to someone who doesn’t care that you’re covered in sand. But we also like to swing by before the beach, because they sell frozen piña coladas to-go, which will make that sticky walk down to the beach far more enjoyable.
