Founded in 1998 on the site of a 13th-century Franciscan monastery, our brewpub blends centuries-old brewing traditions with modern innovation, making us one of Ireland’s most renowned craft beer destinations. Stepping into our beer garden, you’ll be surrounded by the ancient stone walls of the former monastery, dating back to 1219. These walls stood through the centuries. At the heart of our site lies the original well, once used by the Franciscan monks for brewing beer.
