From the outside, Mike’s looks like a dive, but it’s really more of a “dive,” with comfortable bar stools, leather booths, clean bathrooms, and genuinely good spirits, so you can get a solid martini or Old Fashioned. But most people are here for the laid-back atmosphere—note the roped-off stripper pole still standing from the bar’s past life—kicking back with Miller High Life and wagyu hot dogs (the only item on the nonexistent food menu). In a welcome twist, those dogs don’t hit the roller until you order them, so they’re always fresh, even when you’re swinging through late at night.
