No one ever wants to receive a text from their lunch date asking, “Wanna meet at the cafe on the ground floor of my office building?” That is, unless that cafe is Leora. Located at the base of the UTA building in Beverly Hills, this all-day breakfast and lunch spot has done the impossible: Given people a reason to willingly spend time at one of the world's largest talent agencies that doesn’t involve desperately seeking representation. When this indoor-outdoor cafe opened in 2022, it catered exclusively to UTA employees, but these days, it feels like the entire neighborhood is sitting on the patio. Post-pilates workout moms squeeze into tables next to irritated agents who’d rather fly to Wichita for a set visit than take off their designer sunglasses and people with jury duty badges around their necks who wandered over from the courthouse. The crowd is there because of Leora’s broadly appealing menu: a vaguely health-conscious hodgepodge of everything people in the Golden Triangle want to eat for lunch. There are grain bowls and Greek salads, gooey tuna melts, and grilled chicken sandwiches seasoned with pesto or al pastor. On the breakfast side, you can get shakshuka, acai bowls, and one of the best breakfast burritos in LA anytime until they close at 4pm. Committing to a liquid diet? There’s $12 chicken bone broth, an entire smoothie bar, and frozen coffee served in branded bottles that are quickly becoming an accessory in this part of town. Couple that with multiple seating areas and a robust takeout situation, and you’ve got one of the handiest lunch options in Beverly Hills—even if it means having to tolerate the occasional Jeremy Piven dupe arguing with a client about residuals.
