The British International School of Washington (BISW), formerly known as British School of Washington (BSW), is a non-sectarian, co-educational college preparatory day school located in the Georgetown neighborhood in downtown Washington D.C.. BISW offers education for ages 3 to 18. The school was opened in September 1998 by Dr. Lesley Stagg. In 2013, BISW joined Nord Anglia Education, an international education provider with 42 international schools and over 34,000 students.
