Gateway Theatre of Shopping or Gateway is a shopping centre located on Umhlanga Ridge in Umhlanga, north of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Gateway Theatre of Shopping is the largest mall in Africa. Gateway Theatre of Shopping is also the largest mall in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the top 50 largest malls in the world. Construction commenced on 3 March 1998 and the mall officially opened in September 2001.
