Ask a Prospect Heights resident where they like to drink beer, and nine times out of 10, they’re going to say Finn’s Corner. The Washington Avenue bar has a great happy hour ($1 off beer, $5 well drinks, and $6 wine on Monday through Friday until 7pm), a pool table in the backyard, and a dartboard that’s positioned precariously right next to the bathroom. With slightly sticky floors and soft pretzels for sale that nobody really eats, it’s more classic dive than sports bar, but they still take their sports viewing very seriously. During big games, this place gets packed, both inside, out back, and out front on the sidewalk. (There are TVs everywhere.) If you show up and it’s too packed, you can always try nearby 99 Rogers, a quieter spot with lots of TVs.
