This small Coral Gables bakery mills its own flour and then proceeds to bake delicious things with it. It’s a small spot that feels even smaller on weekends, when people crowd around the cash register waiting for quiches, fresh baguettes, and one of Miami’s best breakfast sandwiches served on an onion and poppyseed roll. They operate on a name-yelling system to let you know your order is ready. It can make the place feel chaotic (especially at noon on a Sunday), but at least it keeps things moving. If you arrive after 10:30am, you can try one of their lunch sandwiches, like the fantastic chicken salad sandwich made with dill and golden raisins. You can also count on them for an excellent, last-minute cake (we’re fans of the carrot cake).
