Open since 1927, Sunnyside’s self-proclaimed oldest continually operating bar can get you tipsy—and then some—at appropriately throwback prices. The Jar Bar will pour a shot and a jar of draft beer (about half a pint) for $6, any day, anytime. And besides emptying said jars, there’s plenty to busy yourself with here, including darts, Big Buck Hunter, and a classic Kiss pinball machine on which we plan to one day crack the high scores. There’s also a pool table, and if it’s slow, the bartender might challenge you to a game. Bring in food from Bolivian Llama Party and hold court at one of the picnic tables in the backyard.
