Pan takes its name from the Japanese word for bread, but the menu goes far beyond it. Shokupan was the debut product, followed by a thorough expansion into Japanese-inspired pastries and drinks, all served in a modern, sun-drenched space. It’s the primary bakery café in the neighborhood doing brunch, unless there’s a pop-up dinner, which rotates periodically and has included collaborations with sister restaurant Katsusanderia. Skip the avocado toast and head straight for the fluffy curry pan, or the cinnamon cube filled with gelato. Tiramisu french toast and the matcha blondie are best paired with a hot sencha tea or hojicha latte.
