About

Are you a minimalist who appreciates the simplicity of fewer elements in a room, but still has a love for cane armchairs and pops of greenery while enjoying a cup of coffee? OK, that’s very specific, but if yes, make sure to visit Interlude Coffee and Tea in Tribeca. Josh Kim is Korean American and the owner of Interlude, alongside his sister and resident baker, Melody Kim. You can find hints of their Korean heritage throughout the menu of herbal and black teas and pastries like honey butter scones. The name Interlude is a reference to Kim’s past as a classical pianist, and much like a short transitional piece between two larger movements, Kim hopes to provide people with a place to physically and mentally recharge before moving on to the next part of their day. Order a cup of drip coffee or the flash brew and sit out front to take in the calmness of Hudson Street. Open for take-out with outdoor seating Monday to Friday from 7-4pm and Saturday to Sunday from 8-3pm.
