Tucked away at the end of an unassuming alley off of H Street, The Little Grand has some of the best pizza in the city. Inside, the banquettes and bar stools feel more cocktail lounge than pizza parlor. Outside, however, is practically a designated kid’s zone, with communal picnic tables and families with children. Don’t miss the ricotta and rosemary potato pie or the smothered onion pie, which is covered in what it sounds like, plus a fair amount of pecorino, Calabrian chili, and fior di pizza. Add the Ever Greens salad for a crispy, fresh start to your meal, and wash everything down with surprisingly affordable drinks—beer from $6, amaro and cocktails from $10, and wine from $13.
