Indian River High School is a high school in Chesapeake, Virginia. As of the 2013-14 school year, it has approximately 1850 students. The original IRHS, which opened in 1967, was located on Old Greenbrier Road, while construction on the current building took place. The single-story facility opened in winter 1972 on Dunbarton Road, receiving its own address of 1969 Braves Trail in the mid-1990s. The Old Greenbrier Road building currently serves as Indian River Middle School.
