Bowness Pier is the heart of the Windermere Lake Cruises operation as is the main pier on Windermere. Scenic cruises depart from here southbound to Lakeside on the Yellow Cruise, northbound to Brockhole & Ambleside (Waterhead) on the Red Cruise, and the short Islands (Blue) Cruise departs regularly. Cruises operate all-year round and during peak season, other cruises depart here such as the Ferry House shuttle, Evening Cruise & Buffet Cruise. Bowness Pier is 10 mins walk from the village centre.
