With a name like Mr. Bento, you might not expect to find an Atlanta dumpling hall-of-famer. However, the previous owners of Xiao’s Way came out of retirement with this fast-casual Japanese establishment to sling the city’s dough-wrapped gold standard. While everything here is great, the must-haves are the expertly folded, delicately thin-skinned pork xiao long baos (the juiciest soup dumplings you’ll find in a 500-mile radius), fresh and plump steamed shrimp hargow, and slightly spicy, sweet and savory sauced chili pork wontons. With kids’ games on each table, a cotton candy machine, and toy vending machines, Mr. Bento makes for a very family-friendly outing. Come early since items run out later in the day.
