The Peoria Rivermen began as the Peoria Prancers in the IHL during the 1982-83 season & have been operating ever since. After two years as the Prancers, the team switched names for good to the Rivermen & went on to win the IHL's Turner Cup in their first season under the new moniker. Now the 2022 Presidents Cup Champions, the Rivermen have proven to be one of the most successful franchises in Minor Pro Hockey. Now entering our ninth season, we look forward to more continued success in Peoria.
