General Luna (formerly known as Cabuntog) is a fifth class municipality on Siargao Island in the province of Surigao del Norte, Philippines. According to the 2015 census, it has a population of 16,771 people. It is named after General Antonio Luna. General Luna is home to annual international and national surfing competitions because of the Cloud 9 waves. As a result, the town has the reputation as the "Surfing Capital of the Philippines." ^ "Caraga".
