Jitotol is a town and municipality in the Mexican state of Chiapas in southern Mexico. As of 2010, the municipality had a total population of 18,683, up from 13,076 as of 2005. It covers an area of 203.7 km2. As of 2010, the town of Jitotol had a population of 4,427. Other than the town of Jitotol, the municipality had 63 localities, the largest of which were: Carmen Zacatal, Las Maravillas, Cálido, and El Ámbar, classified as rural.
