Nearly a century old, the Maierl-Alm & Chalets is a classic Alpine lodge set in the heart of the Kitzbühel ski area, halfway up the mountain from Kirchberg. The rooms in the inn are traditional in style and modern in their comforts, as are the more spacious chalets, each of which sleeps up to 8. It does brisk business in ski season, obviously, though Tyrol is scarcely less desirable in summer; all year round you’ll be thankful for the wellness center, with its indoor pool, sauna, and Turkish bath, and for the hearty Alpine fare on offer in the inn’s restaurant.
