Belmont Mansion is the largest house built in Nashville, Tennessee, prior to the Civil War. Constructed between 1850 and 1860 by the Acklen family, the mansion is one of the few homes from this period still standing in the city today and is open for tours. ***Arrival Location - the Mansion is not on a public street but on Belmont University's campus. The best GPS address to use is for the Lila D. Bunch Library, 1907 Belmont Blvd. which is located across the street corner from the Mansion.
