The Kitchen is a beautiful restaurant inside an old industrial River North space right on the river. And the focus is on American food with locally sourced ingredients. On top of that, they support an organization that plants gardens in local communities and teach kids about growing food. Overachieving much? Well The Kitchen is owned and operated by Kimbal Musk, Elon’s brother. And once you know that, the overachieving but respectable project makes sense. The Kitchen’s location makes it great for power lunches or business dinners at night, but it’s by no means overly corporate. It’s also a great place for girls night out or brunch on the weekends, especially when it’s nice outside.
