MacEwan University also known as Grant MacEwan University is a Public university located in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta. Originally established as a Community college which named in honor of Dr. Grant MacEwan, 9th Lieutenant Governor of Alberta in 1971. Grant MacEwan College officially transitioned into an university in 2009 under the Post-Secondary Learning Act.
