Samani, is a town located in Hidaka Subprefecture, Hokkaido, Japan. As of April 2017, the town has an estimated population of 4,482, with 2,242 households, and a density of 12 persons per km2. The total area is 364.33 km2. The local economy is dominated by agriculture, including breeding horses for racing, tourism and the harvesting of wild konbu. Samani is at the end of the Wanman JR Hokkaido Hidaka Main Line that runs from Tomakomai.
