This outdoor bar in the Kimpton Sylvan in Buckhead is our favorite all-season courtyard. The relaxed, secluded space is a much-appreciated retreat during patio season when every other outdoor space in the city gets swarmed with Aperol spritz drinkers. And in winter, the fenced-in hotel terrace is lined with string lights, so guests can follow stone pathways leading to their private (and heated) dining igloos. But above all, we like that Willow Bar drops the Buckhead pretense. We’re not always in the mood for fancy eats, so we’re thankful for menu comforts like spicy fried chicken sandwiches and grilled cheese sandwiches on thick, pillow-soft bread (mercifully).
